SANAA, March 29 (Xinhua) — Yemen's Houthi group said on Saturday it launched fresh strikes on vital targets in southern Israel using cruise missiles and drones, the second reported attack in a day amid escalating tensions in the region.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saria stated on the social media site X that the operation was coordinated with Iran and Hezbollah and “successfully achieved its objectives.”

Y. Saria added that the attacks provide support to so-called “resistance fronts” in Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Iran.

“We confirm that our operations will continue in the coming days until the aggression ceases,” the spokesman said.

Earlier on Saturday, the group said it fired ballistic missiles into southern Israel, the first such attack since Israel and the United States launched massive attacks on Iran on February 28. –0–
