TEHRAN, March 29 (Xinhua) — Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) warned on Sunday that it views all Israeli and US universities in West Asian countries as "legitimate targets" following the strikes on Iranian universities.
The IRGC issued the warning on its official news portal, Sepah News, following the strikes on the Iran University of Science and Technology on March 28 and the Isfahan University of Technology, located in the central city of Isfahan, on March 26.
As noted, all Israeli and American universities will be legitimate targets until Iran strikes two of them in retaliation.
The IRGC called on university staff and students, as well as residents living nearby, to stay at least 1 km away from educational institutions to avoid harm.
Tehran has demanded that Washington issue an official condemnation of the attacks on Iranian universities by 12:00 local time on March 30 /08:30 GMT/ if the US wants to save its universities in the region. –0–
