Doha, March 28 (Xinhua) – Qatar and Ukraine signed a defense cooperation agreement on Saturday, aimed at strengthening military and technological cooperation, according to a statement from the Qatari Ministry of Defense.

The agreement was signed in Doha during a meeting between Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the latest developments in regional security, as well as ways to strengthen defense cooperation and joint coordination in light of the current situation.

The agreement provides for cooperation in technological areas, the development of joint projects, defense investments, and the exchange of experience, in particular in the field of countering missile threats and unmanned aerial systems. –0–
