Yerevan, March 27 (Xinhua) — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Alexander Timan, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission to Armenia, on Friday, the prime minister's press service reported.
N. Pashinyan noted the importance of close cooperation with the IMF, as well as jointly implemented programs that promote the development of various sectors of the country's economy. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the funds provided by the IMF under the new program for Armenia will contribute to the advancement of the reforms being implemented by his government.
A. Timan, for his part, emphasized the effectiveness of cooperation with Armenia and noted the IMF's readiness to continue cooperation for the effective implementation of the joint agenda.
