Tehran, March 27 (Xinhua) — Iran on Thursday issued "strong" warnings to hotel owners in regional countries, particularly Bahrain and the UAE, urging them to refrain from hosting US troops, lest these facilities become legitimate targets for the Iranian armed forces, the semi-official Fars News Agency reported.

Following missile strikes and joint operations by Iran and its allies that damaged US military infrastructure in West Asia, some surviving US troops took refuge in hotels in countries across the region, including Bahrain and the UAE, the agency reports.

In addition, reserve bases and facilities housing foreign troops have been discovered in some countries in the region.

According to the report, US Marines have been deployed to Djibouti International Airport and are deployed in the region. –0–
