Tashkent, March 27 (Xinhua) — The number of real estate transactions in Uzbekistan increased by 15.8 percent year-on-year in 2025, reaching 319,500 units, according to a report from the Central Bank of the Republic published on Thursday.
According to the results of the fourth quarter of last year, the number of transactions in the real estate market reached 89.7 thousand units, an increase of 24.5 percent year-on-year.
According to the regulator, the growth in real estate market activity was driven by the expansion of mortgage lending and rising household incomes. Last year, the volume of mortgage loans issued reached 21.2 trillion soums, an increase of 29 percent compared to 2024.
In addition, in 2025, 15.9 million square meters of housing were commissioned in Uzbekistan, which is 7.2 percent more than the previous year.
In dollar terms, prices for apartments in new buildings increased by 5.7 percent over the year, and for existing housing by 7.9 percent. –0–
