In 2026, Moscow will host a record number of cycling festivals: a spring festival, two children's festivals, two night festivals, and a fall festival. The decision to increase the number of events was made due to the growing number of people interested in participating. Each year, they attract more and more people: in 2025, approximately 250,000 cycling enthusiasts joined the festivals.
The spring festival will take place on May 24, children's festivals on May 30 and September 5, night festivals on July 4 and August 1, and the autumn festival on September 12. Therefore, everyone can choose the date that suits them best.
"At Sergei Sobyanin's direction, we're developing cycling culture in the city and demonstrating that cyclists are full-fledged road users. Moscow cycling festivals bring together many like-minded people of all ages. Residents and visitors to the capital enjoy such events, so this year we've decided to increase their number to six," said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
Last year, the capital hosted its first children's cycling festival and second night cycling event. The two night cycling festivals attracted over 100,000 participants, while the first-ever children's cycling festival brought together generations: young participants, teenagers, and their parents. This year, two such events will be held.
