Starting March 28, new bus route No. 1339, part of the Moscow-Oblast project, will begin operating. It will run from the Park Pobedy metro station to Odintsovo.

Modern NefAZ 5299-31-52 large-class buses with a special commuter configuration will be deployed. Features include 36 soft seats with seat belts, adaptive interior lighting, climate control, special seats, and equipment for passengers with reduced mobility. The buses fully comply with Moscow public transportation standards and are suitable for transporting bicycles and strollers. Onboard passengers can charge their phones, view stop information on media screens, and leave a trip review using QR codes.

"This year, we plan to launch over 50 new routes between the capital and the Moscow region as part of the 'Moscow-Region' project. The first of these opened in mid-month, and a new route to Odintsovo will be launched on March 28. Fifteen modern, large, Russian-made commuter buses will be deployed, equipped with everything necessary for comfortable and safe travel for all categories of passengers. Following Sergei Sobyanin's instructions, we will continue to develop a unified transport space for Muscovites and residents of the Moscow region," said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.

Maxim Liksutov.

To pay for travel on these buses, you will need to tap your card both upon entry and exit. Travel with a Troika card will cost between 71 and 127 rubles, depending on the distance of the trip, while with a bank card, it will cost between 76 and 132 rubles. Passengers will be able to use "Ediny" (Unified) travel cards with unlimited trips in the "Prigorod" zone: 30 days (4,450 rubles), 90 days (11,400 rubles), and 365 days (33,200 rubles). This is a cost-effective payment method: passengers can save up to 60 percent annually and transfer free on all city transport.

In addition, students with the Muscovite Card will be able to purchase "Unified" travel passes for 30 days (1,390 rubles) and 90 days (3,960 rubles) in the "Suburban" zone. Concessionary categories of citizens will be able to enjoy free travel with their Muscovite and Moscow Region resident cards. Individuals under 60 are eligible for free travel with their Moscow Region resident card on all adjacent routes within the capital, as well as on regional routes. If your card doesn't work on the bus, you should contact a government services center in the Moscow Region to have it recoded.

Discounts for transfers to the metro and other routes are not available when paying for single trips with the Troika card at the "Wallet" rate or with a bank card. Strelka cards also cannot be used for travel.

Development of communications between Moscow and the region

According to an agreement between the Moscow and Moscow Region governments, more than 50 existing commuter routes on the western, northwestern, northern, and northeastern directions are planned to be integrated into the Moscow transport system by 2026. One hundred NefAZ-5299 commuter buses will be delivered to the capital to serve these long-distance routes.

By 2028, at least 30 percent of currently operating suburban ground public transport routes will be included in the capital's transport system.

These routes will implement Moscow transport standards that have already become familiar to city residents. They include convenient schedules, convenient and predictable bus intervals, modern rolling stock, and qualified personnel.

In addition to improving travel comfort, the addition of new interregional routes will provide additional impetus to the development of transport infrastructure in the Moscow region, including the installation of modern bus shelters, dedicated bus lanes, the creation and renovation of existing transport hubs, and increased use of various modes of public transport for daily travel from the Moscow region to Moscow and back. The freed-up rolling stock of the regional carrier will be redirected to strengthen routes across the Moscow region to Moscow Central Diameters stations.

In accordance with the objectives of the national project Infrastructure for Life Moscow is focusing on modernizing its social and public infrastructure, including increasing the number of convenient public transportation routes and upgrading its rolling stock.
