Marat Khusnullin held a meeting on the development of the Krasnodar Krai with the region's governor, Veniamin Kondratyev.
Deputy Prime Minister and Supervisor of the Southern Federal District Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting on the socioeconomic development of Krasnodar Krai. Governor Veniamin Kondratyev and representatives of federal ministries and agencies participated.
"The Krasnodar Krai is demonstrating sustainable development. In particular, it has traditionally been among the leaders in housing construction. By the end of 2025, the region ranked third in the country in terms of housing completions, with 6.2 million square meters, becoming the leader in the Southern Federal District. Major infrastructure projects are also being implemented in the Krasnodar Krai, including the construction of the Adler bypass. This is part of the prospective highway from the M-4 "Don" to Sochi. The bypass will provide access to the Black Sea coast, relieve congestion, and reduce travel time from the city center to the airport or Sochi's mountain cluster. This project is also important given the region's tourism potential. At the same time, there are a number of areas in the Krasnodar Krai that require close attention. One of the challenges is the construction of wastewater treatment facilities, which are crucial for the ecology of the Black Sea and the well-being of residents. This is an important but complex task, and we need to step up our efforts," said Marat Khusnullin.
Currently, work is underway at all key points on the Adler bypass being constructed by the state-owned company Avtodor. Last year, the Ivanovskaya overpass on the A-149 highway was expanded to two lanes. The Pobeda power substation, which will provide power for tunnel construction and will be used for future road maintenance, was also opened. Much of the bypass route will be tunneled, and construction will take place in challenging mountainous terrain. Construction of launch pads for tunnel boring machines continues at the eastern portal.
In turn, Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev thanked the Deputy Prime Minister and the Russian Government for their attention to the region.
"Over the past 10 years, we have built more than 110 schools, 220 kindergartens, 260 feldsher-midwife stations, and general practitioner offices in all municipalities of Kuban. Despite the challenging economic conditions, we plan to maintain this momentum. In 2026, we are simultaneously building over 120 social facilities, with over 37 billion rubles allocated for their construction, including funds allocated with your support under national projects. We are maintaining full control of each of them. Just yesterday, I visited construction sites in one of the densely populated neighborhoods of Krasnodar, where two schools and a kindergarten are being built, forming a full-fledged educational cluster. We are doing everything possible to ensure that young people and children can study and develop their talents in comfortable conditions. We strive to open social facilities within walking distance in all cities and districts to improve the quality of life in the region," noted Veniamin Kondratyev.
