The Russpass travel service has launched route constructor powered by artificial intelligence (AI) technology. It can be found in the main menu and the "My Plans" section. This was reported by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
"Thanks to the update, planning your trips on Russpass has become even more convenient. Users fill out a form, and the system uses the answers to create comprehensive itineraries based on the travel date, distance between attractions, and other parameters," noted Natalia Sergunina.
The first step involves selecting the city or region of Russia you want to visit. For those who haven't yet decided, there's a "Select a random destination" feature. The service's geographic reach is constantly expanding.
Next, you need to specify the planned vacation—either exact dates or an approximate period. The maximum duration is seven days. After that, the user will be asked to specify who they'll be traveling with (alone, with a partner, with friends, or with children) and how they'd prefer to spend their time. Thematic categories include "Active Leisure," "Gastronomy," "Culture and Art," "History and Architecture," and "Science and Education."
Based on the survey results, the system will generate up to six pre-defined routes. Each will list recommended locations with photos, as well as a map with a walking plan. Details will be provided by Moskot, a personal assistant.
You can customize your trip plan: change the order of locations and add others, book accommodation, and purchase tickets to suggested events in advance. Your selection will automatically be saved in the "My Plans" section after you click the "Build a Route" button.
Russpass previously became the first travel service in Russia to use AI to provide comprehensive, personalized recommendations for travelers. These recommendations appear in the user's personal account and key sections of the service.
The national tourism service Russpass has over 70,000 offers for hotels, museums, and cultural events. To date, it has already received around 107.5 million times.
