With the support of Samotlorneftegaz (a Rosneft subsidiary), a modular ski base for the Olympic Reserve School has opened in the village of Solnechny in the Surgut District of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The project aims to ensure equal opportunities for residents of large cities and hard-to-reach settlements in the region and is implemented under a cooperation agreement between Rosneft and the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra.
For training of active ski teams and reserve teams, the new complex features comfortable locker rooms, coaching rooms, medical offices, equipment storage and distribution areas, and terraces with convenient access to the ski stadium. The base modules, ranging from 155 to 400 square meters, are constructed of low-temperature-resistant insulating materials and equipped with modern utilities. The prefabricated design of the facilities has enabled the rapid expansion of the region's network of sports centers, which are open year-round and transform into multifunctional recreation areas.
The opening of the modular ski resort in Solnechny is part of a large-scale project to create training facilities in Yugra and promote winter sports. Similar centers will be built in the cities of Uray, Raduzhny, Pokachi, and Nyagan. A total of nine facilities will be operating in the district.
Ski resorts have already been built in Khanty-Mansiysk, Surgut, and the villages of Alyabyevskiy in the Sovetsky District and Poikovsky in the Nefteyugansk District. Over 150,000 residents of Yugra visited them during 2025, including athletes from the district's national teams. Furthermore, thanks to the Company's support, seven snowmobiles were provided to regional ski organizations for the maintenance of training, competition, and training grounds.
Supporting mass, professional, and youth sports and healthy lifestyles is a key focus of the social policy of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company funds the construction of multifunctional sports facilities in the regions where it operates and the improvement of the facilities of local sports schools.
Thanks to Samotlorneftegaz, a modern complex for sports, active recreation, and patriotic education of the younger generation was built on the grounds of Izluchinskaya School No. 1 in the Nizhnevartovsk District in 2025. At the Yugra Boarding College of Olympic Reserve in Khanty-Mansiysk, the gymnastics and exercise areas, covering a total of 900 square meters, were completely renovated. Uniform sports uniforms and equipment were purchased for 120 students.
With the company's participation, motorcycle sports are also actively developing in the region. The Sovetsky District Sports and Fitness Complex has received eight modern professional bikes. The new equipment has enabled athletes to take their training for national competitions to a new level.
