Specialists at Rosneft's Volgograd research institute have developed Russia's first software that automates the planning of equipment maintenance and repairs at industrial facilities. This innovative development accelerates workflows and eliminates the risk of errors.
Complex equipment in oil refining and petrochemical plants requires regular maintenance and periodic repairs. To plan major repairs, a detailed defect list must be compiled. This list contains a wealth of information on the necessary repair operations, materials, and process equipment.
Based on the defect list, specialists prepare an estimate, which includes the cost of materials, machines and mechanisms, and also takes into account the costs of labor time and requirements for the qualifications of workers.
The developed software fully automates the creation of defect lists and cost estimates. The software database includes a detailed description of all plant equipment. When planning major repairs, the user finds the necessary equipment in the database, after which the software automatically suggests the work, necessary materials, and process equipment.
The software is universally applicable to oil refining and petrochemical plants. The main advantages of the developed product are speed, simplicity, and absolute accuracy. Document preparation time is reduced by an average of six times, eliminating human error.
The implementation of this innovation is a significant step toward the digitalization of domestic industry. This unique software frees personnel from routine tasks and reduces operational risks, making repairs more predictable and manageable.
