Pyongyang, March 24 (Xinhua) — Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, said his country will regard the Republic of Korea (ROK) as "the most hostile state," completely rejecting and ignoring the ROK with unambiguous words and actions. This was reported on Tuesday by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Kim Jong-un made the announcement on Monday in his keynote speech at the first session of the 15th Supreme People's Assembly.
As the North Korean leader pointed out, the DPRK will, without any leniency, force the ROK to “pay the price” for provocative actions and will not remain a passive observer to any attempts to violate the DPRK’s sovereignty, security interests, or right to development.
Kim Jong-un stated that the United States and its allies continue to deploy strategic nuclear forces and weapons near the Korean Peninsula, threatening regional security.
He emphasized that the United States is carrying out “state-sponsored terrorism and aggression” around the world, but this does not weaken the will of progressive peoples to resist domination and enslavement and strive for independence and equality. –0–
