The Moscow government has decided to hold the 5th International Transport Summit in August 2026. The resolution on this matter was signed by Sergei Sobyanin.

The summit's business program includes a panel discussion, a scientific session on innovations in transport, as well as roundtable discussions and expert master classes.

The summit will be attended by ministers of transport and digital development, city mayors, heads of transport and technology companies, representatives of the industry business community, and academia.

The IV International Transport Summit, held in Moscow in August 2025, was attended by over 140 international delegates from 43 cities. During the event, Moscow signed 19 agreements with foreign cities, including memoranda of cooperation in transport with Beijing and Bangkok. Compared to 2024, the number of delegates almost doubled, and the number of cities represented increased by approximately 50%. The 2026 event is expected to attract even more participants and guests.

The International Transport Summit was first held in 2019. In 2023, the forum launched UrbanTransportData, an international analytical platform for collecting and analyzing urban transport data. Moscow, Beijing, and Manila were the first to join the project. Currently, the number of participants has grown to 32 megacities, home to a combined population of approximately 152.5 million people. These cities include cities with over a million residents and rapidly developing centers in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the CIS, and Eastern Europe. These include São Paulo, Lima, Hanoi, Bangkok, Minsk, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, Banjul, Freetown, Kampala, and others.
