Tehran, March 23 (Xinhua) — Iran's Foreign Ministry on Monday denied reports of talks with the United States, according to Iran's official news agency, IRNA. Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump said that the US-Iran talks had identified "major points of agreement" and that Washington was in contact with a "senior Iranian official."
As IRNA noted, citing Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei, friendly countries recently sent signals to Iran about Washington's desire to begin negotiations to end the war, but Iran has not responded. –0–
