During his working visit to the Irkutsk Region, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Government Staff Dmitry Grigorenko met with representatives of IT companies and regional executive authorities to discuss the digital agenda. The key topic was the development of regional IT businesses.
"Developing the IT market in Russia requires regular dialogue with industry representatives and feedback. In this regard, meetings like today's in the Irkutsk Region are particularly important. These regions already have promising IT solutions that can be scaled up to other regions and the federal level. And now the key task is to support their development," noted Dmitry Grigorenko.
The meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and Irkutsk IT businesses was organized with the participation of the Digital Economy ANO.
Today, there are over 800 IT companies in the Irkutsk region (almost 2% of all legal entities), 115 of which are included in the accredited registry. The Irkutsk region's IT market is actively developing: in 2024, the revenue of regional IT companies amounted to 33 billion rubles (almost 30% more than in 2023).
Companies representing the Irkutsk IT market include NPF Forus LLC, which has been implementing digital solutions and automating production for over 30 years; Zeon LLC, which specializes in software import substitution and microelectronics production; STP-Smartdata LLC, a developer of services and platforms for businesses and individuals; and Information Security Systems LLC (an information security systems integrator). Furthermore, the Aptekar Information Center (digital healthcare solutions) is developing in the region: the company created the first bot for searching and ordering medications in the Max app, allowing residents of hard-to-reach areas to find and order medications delivered to nearby paramedic stations.
During the meeting, experts discussed the current state of the IT industry in the region and key areas for stimulating its development. Representatives of IT companies voiced their proposals aimed at supporting the development of the IT industry. These included the implementation of a range of financial and non-financial support measures for local IT companies, technology replication, export support, and other measures. Special attention was paid to the training and development of IT personnel in the region.
