Moscow, March 22 (Xinhua) — Flowers are being laid at the memorial to the victims of the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack in the Moscow region on the second anniversary of the tragedy, RIA Novosti reported.
This morning, the memorial next to the concert hall was decorated with a multitude of fresh roses and carnations. Concerned people come to the memorial to honor the memory of the victims of the tragedy.
Participants of the All-Russian Popular Front movement and volunteers of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps also came to lay flowers.
Leonid Slutsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), stated that uniform security rules for mass events are needed in Russia. He also called for the strictest possible measures against terrorists.
"The state is obligated to establish uniform security rules for mass events… The LDPR insists on imposing strict regulations in this area. We propose strengthening the role of the Russian National Guard, introducing additional requirements for security organizations, and clearly defining the levels of protection for facilities. So that people feel safe in their own country," wrote L. Slutsky on his channel on the Max platform.
As a reminder, on March 22, 2024, a large-scale terrorist attack occurred at the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow. The attack killed 149 people and injured approximately 600.
