Vladivostok, March 20 /Xinhua/ — Authorities in Russia's Primorsky Krai expect Russian Railways to launch a passenger train between Vladivostok and Suifenhe this year, PrimaMedia news agency reported on Friday.

"We have one passenger train operating between Suifenhe and Pogranichny. This year, we plan to launch a train between Suifenhe and Vladivostok in collaboration with Russian Railways. The project is quite complex, but I'm confident we can handle it," said Konstantin Sidorenko, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of Primorsky Krai, in Khabarovsk at an interregional strategic session on developing a unified tourism offer and promoting it in the Chinese market.

The route will reportedly be launched by JSC Federal Passenger Company, a division of JSC Russian Railways. –0–
