JERUSALEM, March 20 (Xinhua) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Friday that its air force, acting on intelligence, killed Ali Mohammad Naini, spokesman and head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) public relations department, in an overnight strike in Tehran.

In a statement, the military said the IRGC official had served as the IRGC's "chief propagandist" for the past two years and accused him of "spreading the regime's terrorist propaganda throughout the Middle East to influence and facilitate attacks on Israel on multiple fronts."

Iranian state media confirmed the death of A. M. Naini. The semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that he had served as the IRGC spokesman since 2024 and "died as a martyr" as a result of US and Israeli strikes.
