HOHHOT, March 19 (Xinhua) — Three people were injured and two others were missing in an explosion at a nitrate production facility of a local company in Alashan Province, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local authorities said Thursday.
The explosion occurred at 11:49 a.m. Thursday. Local police, firefighters, and emergency services quickly arrived at the scene to conduct search and rescue operations. The circumstances and cause of the explosion are under investigation.
