BEIJING, March 19 (Xinhua) — China and the United States agreed to continue to effectively use the economic and trade consultation mechanism to strengthen dialogue and communication, the Ministry of Commerce said Thursday.
Responding to a question about the recent China-US trade and economic talks in Paris, spokesperson He Yongqian said at a regular press briefing that the two sides held frank, in-depth, and constructive consultations on issues of mutual interest, including tariff decisions, promoting bilateral trade and investment, and maintaining the consensus reached during previous consultations.
“Some new points of understanding were also reached, and both sides agreed to continue consultations,” she told reporters.
