On March 16, the opening ceremony of the China-Central Asia Publishing Center was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty as part of the event "Book Culture of the Silk Road: Dialogue of Civilizations." The ceremony featured speeches by Su Fangqiu, Consul General of China in Almaty; Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University; and Chai Wei, Vice-Rector of Xi'an Jiaotong University. Over 100 representatives of Chinese and Kazakh organizations, faculty, and students attended the event.

Mr. Su noted that the establishment of the China-Central Asia Publishing Center is of great significance for deepening humanitarian cooperation between China and Kazakhstan, and expressed confidence that the center will become a useful platform for joint publishing projects and academic exchanges, which will promote further dialogue between the civilizations of China and the Central Asian countries.

The center was created jointly by Xi'an Jiaotong University and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the aim of developing publishing cooperation, promoting mutual translation of classical works, and cultural interaction.
