In the last week of March, three major scientific events of national (all-Russian) scale will take place at the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Representatives of the scientific community, government agencies, industrial partners, as well as young scientists and researchers, graduate students, undergraduate, specialist, and master's students will participate in the conferences.

Prospects of Modern Construction

March 23–26. IV National (All-Russian) Scientific and Technical Conference "Prospects of Modern Construction". The event will provide a platform for discussing current scientific research and practical solutions in modern construction, as well as for exchanging experiences between representatives of the scientific community, education, and the construction industry. The conference organizing committee is headed by Andrey Nikulin, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, PhD in Engineering, and Associate Professor.

The key objectives of the conference are to present new ideas, approaches, and methods for scientific research in the field of modern construction, discuss the results of the scientific work of young scientists, develop professional communications in the research community, and exchange best practices in construction production.

The event will feature plenary and sectional sessions devoted to current areas of construction science and practice, including architectural and construction structures, geotechnics, reinforced concrete and masonry structures, metal and timber structures, construction management, structural mechanics, building materials and construction production technologies, and technosphere safety issues.

"Modern technologies in engineering systems and urban management"

March 23–27. III National (All-Russian) Scientific and Practical Conference "Modern Technologies in Engineering Systems and Urban Management"The conference will focus on current research and innovative solutions in engineering systems and urban management, as well as the exchange of scientific and practical experience between young researchers. The chair of the organizing committee is Dmitry Ulrikh, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Urban Management at St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, and Associate Professor.

The main goal of the event is to present and discuss modern scientific research carried out by students and young scientists, as well as to popularize research and innovation activities among students.

The conference will feature breakout sessions on key industry topics, including water use and ecology, geodesy and cadastres, information technology and mathematical modeling, building physics, electric power and electrical engineering, as well as heat and gas supply and ventilation.

"Reconstruction and restoration of architectural heritage"

March 24–27. VI National (All-Russian) scientific and practical conference with international participation "Reconstruction and restoration of architectural heritage". The conference has been held annually since 2016 and brings together specialists to discuss current issues in the preservation of cultural heritage sites and the historical environment.

The event will bring together scientists, architects, restorers, representatives of educational institutions and cultural heritage protection agencies, as well as experts from organizations performing restoration work and producing specialized materials. The organizing committee is headed by Evgeny Korolev, Research Project Manager at SPbGASU.

The key topics of the conference will include the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage sites, engineering aspects of adapting architectural monuments for modern use, practical restoration practices and the use of modern materials, as well as training specialists and developing professional education in the field of restoration. In particular, experts will be introduced to a new training program at SPbGASU, which is being launched in the Faculty of Civil Engineering under the program 08.03.01. Construction: "Restoration of Buildings and Structures – Engineering Restoration."

The conference's business program will also include thematic sections, master classes, a roundtable discussion on St. Petersburg's industrial heritage, and tours of restoration sites.

Publication of materials

Following the events, it is planned to publish collections of scientific articles indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI).

The best works will be selected by the scientific committee for consideration of the possibility of their publication in scientific journals of SPbGASU recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission.
