Since the renovation program began in the Zapadnoye Degunino district in the north of the capital, more than 1,800 families have celebrated housewarming parties. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
"Resettlement under the renovation program in Zapadnoye Degunino began in 2021, when a new building on Angarskaya Street was opened for occupancy. There are now six such buildings, and over 1,800 families have moved into them. All new residents receive apartments with modern, improved finishes, allowing them to move into their new buildings without additional costs. Thanks to the current renovation program in Zapadnoye Degunino, approximately 3,300 families from 45 older buildings will be able to improve their living conditions," said Vladimir Efimov.
Information centers are located on the ground floors of new buildings. Once the relocation process is complete, these centers will be used as shops, cafes, pharmacies, online order pickup points, and other businesses.
"The new residential complexes in West Degunino offer a total of over two thousand apartments with improved finishes, covering approximately 120,000 square meters of living space. The new buildings have been equipped with elevators, concierges, and storage areas for strollers and bicycles. To ensure a truly comfortable transition for program participants, the city provided them with free movers and transportation. More than 1,700 relocated families have already used this service," added the Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Urban Development Policy.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It affects approximately one million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 buildings. Sergei Sobyanin ordered the pace of implementation of the renovation program to be accelerated.twice.
