Moscow, March 18 (Xinhua) – The escalation of tensions around Cuba is a source of serious concern, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated on its website on Tuesday.
"In the context of this artificially fueled atmosphere of confrontation, Russia reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the government and fraternal people of Cuba. We strongly condemn attempts at gross interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state, intimidation, and the use of illegal unilateral restrictive measures," the statement reads.
Russia is providing and will continue to provide Cuba with the necessary support, including financial, the Foreign Ministry emphasized. –0–
