"The tax break was introduced in 2022 to support major sports facilities. Previously, the register included multifunctional sports complexes, stadiums, an ice palace, a tennis center, a sports training facility, and other facilities that contribute to the development of sports in the capital. Now, the list has been expanded to include a new fitness and wellness center. Owners of all the facilities included in the register will be able to save over one and a half billion rubles annually on property taxes," noted Maria Bagreeva.
The registry is updated as applications are received from owners. Owners of sports facilities over 8,000 square meters in area, which are included in the All-Russian Register of Sports Facilities, can apply for inclusion.
