BEIJING, March 17 (Xinhua) — The China Coast Guard (CCG) on Monday expelled a Japanese fishing vessel that had intruded into the territorial waters of China's Diaoyu Islands.

According to the agency's statement, the BOC has taken the necessary control measures and issued warnings to deport the boat in accordance with the law, and also called on the Japanese side to immediately cease all illegal and provocative actions in the relevant waters.

“We will continue to conduct rights protection and law enforcement operations in the waters around Diaoyu Dao to resolutely safeguard China’s sovereignty and its maritime rights and interests,” the BOC statement said. –0–
