March 12 marks China's 48th Arbor Day. The 2025 National Greening Status Bulletin, published on that day by the Office of the National Greening Committee, states that in 2025, the country established 3.563 million hectares of new forests and restored 4.927 million hectares of degraded grassland. Forest cover reached 25.09%, the combined forest and grassland cover exceeded 56%, and the total timber stock reached 20.988 billion cubic meters.
