Moscow, March 14 /Xinhua/ — Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 124 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on its Telegram channel on Saturday.

On March 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Moscow time, air defense alert systems intercepted and destroyed 37 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, the department said in a statement.

Another Defense Ministry report noted that Russian air defense forces destroyed 87 Ukrainian UAVs last night.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also reported on social media that only 16 drones flying toward Moscow were shot down on Saturday. He added that emergency services are working at the site of the crash.
