Minsk, March 12 (Xinhua) — The Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces recorded more than 100 airspace violations and more than 70 border violations in 2026, according to Andrei Lukyanovich, Commander of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces. The information was published by the Belta news agency.
"In 2026 alone, 107 violations of airspace regulations and 72 border violations were recorded. Duty forces were forced to engage in combat operations five times—there was real work by the aviation and anti-aircraft missile forces on duty. Three unmanned aerial vehicles that posed a threat were destroyed," A. Lukyanovich reported.
Belarus has completed another round of combat readiness testing for the Air Force and Air Defense Forces. By decision of the President of Belarus, they have been placed on a certain level of combat readiness, both at their permanent bases and at their combat duty stations.
