BEIJING, March 10 (Xinhua) — As of noon on March 8, the deadline for submitting legislative proposals at the ongoing fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), NPC deputies had submitted 226 such proposals.
The session secretariat reported on Tuesday that it had also received over 7,000 proposals from NPC deputies. Most of the legislative initiatives relate to legislative work. The proposals, in turn, cover a wide range of topics, including the development of a unified national market, the cultivation of new growth factors, and the accelerated development of high-level scientific and technological self-sufficiency.
