Moscow residents aged 14 to 35 can book services at the "Youth of Moscow" multi-format spaces free of charge. They are equipped with professional equipment for work, study, project discussions, and creative initiatives. The spaces have already been visited by over 400,000 people. They are open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and reservations are available atproject portal.
"Our goal is to create an environment for Moscow's youth where they can develop, create, and realize their ideas. We strive to ensure that every young person has access to professional equipment—whether it's a recording studio, a sewing workshop, or a 3D printer. Our three multi-format spaces are open daily, and we see the demand for this opportunity: young people are recording their first songs, sewing clothes, training, and mastering modern technologies. For us, the greatest reward is seeing completed projects and hearing success stories," shared Margarita Savinkina, head of the "Youth of Moscow" project.
These multi-format spaces are located near metro stations, universities, colleges, and dormitories. The first opened in 2022 on the premises of the Ryabovskaya Manufactory. Seven services are available for booking, including a content farm for video recording, a coworking space with high-speed internet, a gym for workouts and dance classes, a culinary studio, a media studio, a meeting room, and an event hall for up to 100 people. The space is located at 3 Kholodilny Lane, Building 1, Bldg. 8.
One of the most popular services here is the training and dance studio. It can be booked for choreography practice, acting classes, play rehearsals, and dance routines. Young Muscovites use the media studio to film content for social media, record video presentations and competition entries, as well as create short films, podcasts, educational videos, and interviews. The culinary studio is also very popular: it is booked for master classes and filming student cooking shows.
From 3D printing to sound recording
The multi-format space "Youth of Moscow. Starry" opened in the fall of 2025 at 14 Vernadsky Prospekt. It offers eight services: a media studio, a coworking space, a design and customization studio, a flexible meeting room, a recording studio, a workout and dance studio, a photo and video editing studio, and a 3D printing and modeling studio.
Arina Sulina, a Physics and Technology College student majoring in Additive Technologies, is studying the principles and capabilities of 3D printers. Today, additive technologies (or 3D printing) are widely used in industry. Prototyping with them significantly reduces the time and cost of product launches. The student uses a 3D printing studio to implement her own projects.
Arina noted that the availability of free studios with professional equipment opens up broad opportunities for young people to realize their potential. It's an opportunity to explore various fields and determine the scope of their future professional development. For her, access to such resources became the starting point for mastering additive technologies: starting with printing decorative elements, she plans to move on to creating more complex, custom-made pieces.
Another young creative, Anastasia Karamina, performing under the stage name Karamina, used the recording studio to record her first solo song, "Solovushka." The track is already available on all digital music platforms. According to Anastasia, the opportunity to work for free on professional equipment is of great importance for aspiring artists. She is convinced that such spaces allow them to create projects at a high level.
"Thanks to our collaboration with the multi-format space team, we were able to create a truly high-quality creative product. My track "Solovushka" has been released on all digital platforms and has already garnered 2,500 plays. Family, friends, and colleagues have commented on the sound quality—it's incredibly motivating and inspiring to create new songs," said Anastasia.
Space to create your own collection
The "Youth of Moscow. Homeland" creative residency has become the first free rehearsal space for Moscow's youth. To realize their creative ideas, it offers a recording studio, art and design workshops, a training and dance studio, and two general-purpose halls each accommodating up to 100 people.
Arina Subbotina, a student at Moscow State Linguistic University, believes that the opportunity to use professional resources for free is incredibly valuable for young people. Together with her group, Iskra, she is preparing her debut signature collection in the design studio, creating new pieces from old ones. She notes that working with professional equipment is very convenient: threads don't break, and stitching is quick. Arina also emphasizes that the studio is comfortable thanks to the abundance of light and space, and several large tables allow for a more convenient workflow: one can be used for cutting, another for sewing, and a third for laying out finished designs.
The student noted that finding a decent place to work is extremely difficult. Most spaces either don't offer the necessary equipment or charge high rent. And for many, the "Youth of Moscow. Motherland" creative residency is the only opportunity to work with good sewing machines and other tools.
The multifunctional hall is also very popular. It is booked for play rehearsals, musical and dance performances, student association meetings, and even stand-up comedy performances.
