BEIJING, March 9 (Xinhua) — Over the past five years, China's courts have completed 9,326 cybersecurity crime cases, a 158.5 percent increase compared to the previous five-year period, and convicted 22,000 people. This was according to a work report by the Supreme People's Court (SPC) submitted to the ongoing fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) on Monday.
In 2025, a total of 25,000 cases of crimes facilitating cybercriminal activity were completed, a 62 percent decrease from the previous year, with 38,000 people convicted, the document says. -0-
