BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) — China and the United States should adhere to the principles of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence to achieve win-win cooperation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Sunday.
Wang Yi made the statement at a press conference during the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC).
"This year is truly a 'big year' for Sino-US relations," Wang Yi noted. "High-level and top-level contacts are on the agenda, it is important to create a favorable atmosphere, manage differences, and eliminate unnecessary obstacles."
Wang Yi assured that sincerity and honesty on both sides will help achieve results satisfactory to our peoples and consensus for the international community.
