BEIJING, March 8 (Xinhua) — Diplomatic work will tirelessly drive China's high-level opening-up and create a more favorable international environment for China's modernization, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Sunday.

China will continue to promote high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, maintain the stability and smoothness of industrial and supply chains, and provide a fair, open and non-discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises to enter overseas markets, Wang Yi said at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC).

China will continue to expand the "fast lane" for mutual travel, Wang Yi said, adding that China currently unilaterally provides visa-free entry to citizens of 50 countries and has introduced reciprocal visa-free travel with 29 countries.

According to him, last year 73 percent of foreign tourists came to China without a visa.

China will continue to improve its cross-border travel policy, further promote the benefits of the visa-free regime, and improve all related services, Wang Yi noted. -0-
