Caracas, March 6 (Xinhua) – Venezuela has decided to restore diplomatic and consular relations with the United States, the government of the South American country announced Thursday evening.
This measure was taken following sustained diplomatic dialogue between Caracas and Washington, during which they agreed to resume institutional ties and move to a new stage of bilateral cooperation, the statement said.
The Venezuelan side noted that it is ready for a new stage in bilateral relations, marked by the principles of mutual respect, sovereign equality of states, and cooperation between peoples. –0–
