At Nikita Mikhalkov's Workshop "12" Theatre, actors from the Experimental Drama Theatre of the Chuvash Republic will present the play "Tanya is Left Alone."
This is a chronicle of the most difficult days of the siege of Leningrad, told through the lives of the children who remained in the city. The story follows the coming-of-age of four friends who try to defend their beloved city and preserve a piece of their childhood, which is slipping away with each explosion, preserving their touching friendship against the backdrop of horrific events. It's a child's perspective on the monstrous military actions of bygone years. The play is based on documentary evidence and interviews with eyewitnesses of the siege of Leningrad.
