London, March 5 (Xinhua) — Britain will deploy four more Typhoon fighter jets to expand its squadron in Qatar to bolster defensive operations both in the country and throughout the Middle East, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced at a press conference on Thursday.
He announced that British Wildcat helicopters equipped with counter-drone capabilities would arrive in Cyprus on March 6. The British Secretary of State for Defence is currently in Cyprus coordinating operations, while the warship HMS Dragon is heading to the Mediterranean.
K. Starmer noted that the UK began to build up its military potential in the Middle East even before the US and Israel launched military strikes on Iran. –0–
