In 2025, more than 160 ground transportation routes in the capital were changed, according to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

"We are constantly analyzing and improving the efficiency of ground transportation where necessary. Last year, we adjusted over 160 routes and launched five new ones. They now average over 560,000 trips per day. Twenty routes have been modified to make it easier for residents to reach new metro stations and medical facilities. We are improving the quality of passenger service at the direction of Sergei Sobyanin," added Maxim Liksutov.

Thanks to the expansion of the route network, ground urban transport is becoming increasingly popular among passengers. In total, approximately 1.1 billion trips were made on buses and electric buses in 2025. This is 35 million more than the previous year.

Over the past year, 17 routes have been adjusted in the capital to accommodate the opening of new stations on the Troitskaya Line metro line. Buses and electric buses are now closer to the vestibules to facilitate convenient transfers.

Accessibility to 16 residential complexes has been improved. To make travel more convenient, 13 routes have been modified and a new one, route 202, has been opened.

In addition, after analyzing the accessibility of more than 20 medical facilities, three ground transportation routes were adjusted.

In 2025, 25 routes to nearby cities in the Moscow region were also opened as part of the "Moscow-Region" project. Modern Russian-made buses entered service.

To ensure comfortable waiting for transport, 600 new bus stops were installed.

In accordance with the objectives of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" Moscow is placing significant emphasis on modernizing its social and public infrastructure, including increasing the number of convenient public transportation routes and upgrading its rolling stock. Furthermore, as part of the national project, Moscow has begun developing the Central Transport Hub.
