Beirut, March 4 (Xinhua) — At least 11 people were killed and 23 others were wounded on Wednesday in a series of Israeli airstrikes on several areas of Lebanon, Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported.
According to the ministry, airstrikes on Aramoun and Saadiyat, located south of Beirut, killed six people and injured eight. Rescuers continue to work in some affected areas.
According to the National News Agency, five people were killed and 15 others were injured as a result of another Israeli airstrike on a residential complex in the city of Baalbek.
In recent hours, Israel has launched a series of intense airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut. –0–
