Riyadh, March 4 (Xinhua) — Saudi Arabia's air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 10 drones and two cruise missiles heading toward the kingdom, the Saudi Ministry of Defense reported on Wednesday.
According to a statement published on the agency's official page on the X social media platform, nine drones were destroyed upon entering Saudi Arabian airspace.
The military spokesman added that two cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed over the city of Al-Kharj, located southeast of the kingdom's capital, Riyadh. Another drone was shot down in the Eastern Province (Al-Sharqiyah Province).
