Bishkek, March 4 (Xinhua) — Production volume in Kyrgyzstan's construction industry has increased eightfold over the past six years. This was announced Wednesday by Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, at a meeting of the board of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Public Utilities.
According to him, the construction industry is demonstrating steady positive growth and is one of the key drivers of the national economy. In 2025, production in the construction industry amounted to 438.5 billion soms (approximately $5.01 billion), compared to 58.5 billion soms in 2019. "Thus, the industry has grown eightfold in six years," the prime minister stated.
As noted, since 2021, the state has allocated more than 170 billion soms to the construction industry, which has enabled it to achieve record levels and complete the construction of 936 socially significant facilities.
Capital investment in the country's social infrastructure has also increased significantly: while 2.7 billion soms were invested in 2021, this figure reached 13.2 billion soms in 2025. –0–
