The Cryptography Museum, Russia's only science and technology museum dedicated to encryption and communications technologies, invites you to celebrate World Engineering Day. On March 4, admission will be free for engineers, students in relevant fields, and their families.
Visitors will see a unique collection of encryption technology and an interactive exhibit that explores how bold ideas from different eras changed the world. Guests will learn how the ciphers that protect instant messaging messages work, who invented data protection and when, and how diplomatic letters and military orders were protected before the advent of electronics.
"The Cryptography Museum is not only a place where you can learn in an accessible, interactive format about the origins and development of the technologies we use every day, but also a space of inspiration where today's schoolchildren and students can find their professional path and change the world," noted Lidiya Lobanova, Director of the Cryptography Museum.
On March 4, the museum will be open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. To gain free admission, engineers and students in relevant fields simply visit the ticket office and present a diploma indicating their engineering major or proof of training. One adult and two children may accompany an engineer or student free of charge.
