BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) — More than 470 more Chinese citizens have been safely evacuated from Iran with the assistance of Chinese diplomatic missions since the military strikes on Iran began, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Wednesday.
Answering a question on the matter at a regular departmental press conference, the Chinese diplomat said that since the security situation in Iran worsened, China has repeatedly made representations to the relevant parties, calling on them to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in Iran and neighboring countries.
According to her, Chinese embassies and consulates in Iran and neighboring countries are working around the clock to help evacuate groups of Chinese citizens. -0-
