BEIJING, March 4 (Xinhua) — The Chinese people will never allow any external force to interfere in China's internal affairs and will resolutely safeguard the country's national sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, Lou Qinjian, spokesperson for the fourth session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC), said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Protecting national sovereignty, security and development interests is the starting point and ultimate goal of all external contacts, Lou Qingjian said.
The Taiwan issue is China's internal affair and lies at the core of China's core interests, Lou Qingjian said, adding that China firmly opposes the Japanese leader's erroneous remarks regarding Taiwan. -0-
