On Friday, February 27, a delegation from the All-Russian Youth Public Organization "Russian Student Teams" (YAYP RSO) and representatives of ministries, departments, and enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan visited KAMAZ PJSC.
The large delegation included State Duma Deputy Alfiya Kogogina, First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy and Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Youth Public Organization "Russian Student Brigades" Mikhail Kiselev, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Kadyrov, Director of the Republican Center for Student Labor Brigades Vasily Islaev, and other leaders. At KAMAZ, the guests were greeted by Deputy General Director for Security Siren Galiakberov, Chairman of the company's Trade Union Committee Ildar Shamilov, Chairman of the Youth Council Alexey Tarabukin, and Director of the Personnel Development Department Leniza Khurmatullina.
Russian Student Brigades are the largest labor movement of Russian youth. In 2025, more than 400,000 students and schoolchildren from 85 regions of Russia were members of the Russian Student Brigades, gaining their first work experience, earning a decent salary, and making a significant contribution to the country's development. KAMAZ is one of the key platforms where this work has been successfully organized, and the company's experience can serve as an example. Optimal conditions have been created for the professional and creative development and comprehensive fulfillment of students.
The company tour began with a visit to the student team's regional headquarters and dormitory. Afterward, the delegation toured the auto plant—the auto giant's finishing facility—and the Visitor Center. A key part of the busy business program was attending an off-site meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, where they discussed in detail the development of student production teams at industrial sites across the republic. The delegation also attended the closing ceremony of the winter stage of the All-Russian Student Production Team "KAMAZ." As a reminder, over 200 students from 15 regions of Russia worked at the company's four plants from January 9 to February 28 as part of the project.
Student brigades have a long history at KAMAZ. During Soviet times, student brigades from various regions worked at the company's facilities. 25,000 students completed KAMAZ's All-Union Construction Project. The first group, in 1969, consisted of 90 students from the Kazan Civil Engineering Institute (KISI). Today, KAMAZ is the largest automotive corporation in the Russian Federation. To meet the objectives set by the country's leadership amid a general personnel shortage, pressing issues are being discussed, including the search for new approaches to personnel development.
The company's modern history of collaboration with student brigades began in 2023, when over 200 students from ten educational institutions worked at KAMAZ PJSC divisions during the summer holidays. In February 2024, KAMAZ PJSC and the All-Russian Youth Public Organization "Russian Student Brigades" signed a cooperation agreement. A Zonal Headquarters for Student Brigades was established at KAMAZ PJSC to organize student work projects, train student brigades in skilled trades in demand at the company, and facilitate their subsequent employment.
