Beirut, March 2 (Xinhua) — Israeli airstrikes hit the Jnah and Bir Hassan neighborhoods in Beirut's southern suburbs on Monday evening, the Lebanese Al-Jadeed television reported. These are the first such strikes near the Lebanese capital's central area since the ceasefire agreement was reached in November 2024.
The Israel Defense Forces said the strikes targeted a Hezbollah official, but gave no further details.
