TEHRAN, March 1 (Xinhua) — Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said on Saturday that both Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian are "alive and well."
E. Baghaei made the statement in an interview with ABC News Live, assuring that the Iranian political system functions “because our system is very complex, rooted in our identity, and based on a people’s revolution.”
The diplomat noted that Iran's state system is not based solely on one person, adding: "Everything is being carried out in accordance with our plans, and our armed forces are taking defensive action against this act of aggression, which has been going on for the whole day." –0–
