Almaty, February 28 (Xinhua) — Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed the country's Security Council and law enforcement agencies to present a plan of action in response to potential threats stemming from the escalating situation in Iran, presidential adviser and press secretary Aibek Smadiyarov announced on his Telegram channel on Saturday.
The President instructed Security Council Secretary Gizat Nurdauletov, together with the heads of law enforcement agencies and relevant ministries, to present a developed plan for emergency measures, taking into account the escalating situation around Iran and the possible emergence of threats to stability in Kazakhstan.
On the instructions of the head of state, all law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan have been transferred to a 24-hour work schedule.
