Washington, February 28 (Xinhua) — Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is still alive, "as far as I know," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told NBC News after the US and Israel launched massive airstrikes against Iran on Saturday morning.

In an exclusive interview with NBC News, A. Araghchi said that two commanders were killed, but senior Iranian officials, including the head of the judiciary and the speaker of parliament, survived.

"All senior officials are alive," he noted. "We are dealing with this situation, and everything is fine." –0–
